Rear Commodore's Blog May 2016

We have started the year off with a bang. Every event getting better attended, as the weather gets nicer, and the days get longer. Opening day Log boom was a hoot. Lots of great scenery, beautiful boats, not to mention great food and cocktails with an amazing group of people. Thanks to everyone who attended.

Port Orchard Toga Party and Greek feast was a huge success. We were all in our Pacific northwest togas (hoodies and jeans underneath). We enjoyed a sumptuous meal featuring Lamb Kabobs provided by the club. We had the party dock all to ourselves, it truly was an event to remember.

Coming up! Viktor and Jeffrey are hosting an Italian feast at Des Moines Marina June 24-26th, 2016. Make your reservations with the Des Moines Marina, tell them you are with the Olympic Yacht Club. (OYC is also Olympia Yacht club, so make sure you spell it out!) Then, stand by your crab pots as we head on over to Brownville for this year’s Deadliest Catch July 15-17th, 2016, hosted by Past Commodore Mike M and Chris.
